SVDP
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha is a network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need since 1868.
Providing food, clothing, and financial and in-kind assistance, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha is a 501(c)(3), non-profit charitable organization. Gifts made to the Society are used to care for the people who turn to us during their hour of need and are greatly appreciated.

The faithful’s offerings to the Holy Father through the Peter’s Pence Collection are destined to Church needs, to humanitarian initiatives and social promotion projects, as well as to the support of the Holy See.
Retirement for Religious
The National Religious Retirement Office coordinates the annual national appeal for the Retirement Fund for Religious and distributes financial assistance for retirement needs to eligible religious institutes.
World Mission Sunday
In 1926 Pope Pius XI instituted Mission Sunday for the whole Church with the first worldwide Mission Sunday collection taking place in October 1927. The Mission Sunday collection is always taken on the next to last Sunday during the month of October. That day is celebrated in all the local Churches as the feast of catholicity and universal solidarity so Christians the world over will recognize their common responsibility with regard to the evangelization of the world.
