St. Mary’s is a place of love and hope and safety and forgiveness. We want you to feel connected to God’s love, His people and good works. Prayer Opportunities 

  • Perpetual Adoration - Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a time we take to worship God in the person of Jesus Christ, who is truly present in the Eucharistic host. People will often spend an hour in prayer with the Blessed Sacrament, which is kept either in the Tabernacle or exposed for all to see on the altar.  At St. Mary’s, we have coordinated 24 hours of Adoration seven days a week since 1953. This means that we have had a list of individuals willing to sign up for an hour with Jesus around the clock, every hour of every day, for over half a century.
  • Legion of Mary - Members attend weekly meetings, say Legion prayers daily and perform spiritual works of mercy such as visiting parishioners (the sick or aged), religious education, leading the Rosary at retirement centers, and meeting other spiritual needs of the parish community.
  • Memorial Prayer Garden
  • Daily Rosary - Monday-Friday: before the 7:00am & 8:00am/8:30am Masses & Saturday: before the 8:00am Mass
  • Weekly Divine Mercy Chaplet - At St. Mary’s, we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet together each week on Fridays at 3:00pm in the church. All are welcome to join us in devotion!

Parishioner Registration

Officially registering is an important step for all parishioners of a church, as it can give you a sense of belonging and identity in the parish community and it allows us to get to know you better, welcome you, and minister to your specific needs. Registering is also beneficial to the church as a whole, in that it helps ensure that we get the most accurate count possible of all those we serve so we can budget and plan efficiently, as well as helps the Archdiocese determine how many priests are assigned to our parish when that time comes.  

Adult Faith Formation Opportunities

  • ChristLife - Jesus tells us that if we knock on His door, it will always be opened to us. No matter where we are in our faith lives, Jesus is waiting for us for an encounter! Our ChristLife program helps to guide people to an encounter with Jesus through fellowship, food, prayer, and teachings. The program offers a series of classes tailored to help people take the next step in their faith journey, no matter where they are starting from! From Discovering Christ, to Following Christ, to Sharing Christ, our program strives to help everyone grow as Christians. All are welcome. More information may be found here.
  • That Man is You! - That Man is You! is a Men’s Ministry program for men of all ages. This dynamic program honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers.
  • Women of Grace - Ladies, join us as we work to improve our relationship with Jesus, connect with other women in very meaningful ways, and learn new ways to bring irrepressible JOY into our lives. Find a place where you belong with other women guided by the Holy Spirit. We learn, laugh, and love together, finding grace in everyday happenings. Saturday Seminars, which take place on the third Saturday of every month from September-April, begin at 8:30am with hospitality and Parish Library visits. The program itself runs from 9:00-11:00am.

Children's Faith Formation Opportunities

St. Mary’s has opportunities for children to grow in their faith through:

  • Children’s Liturgy of the Word - Children ages 4 through the 4th grade gather during the Sunday 10:00am Mass to learn about that week’s Gospel in a way that helps them better understand Jesus' message.
  • Religious Education - RE classes are a great way for all children and youth to deepen their relationship with Jesus; they don't have to be preparing for a sacrament! Whether your child has attended classes in the past or has never been before, all are welcome to enroll.
  • Youth Ministry - Students in grade 6th-12th are invited to join us for faith, fellowship, and fun! We have a very active youth group that is operated jointly with St. Matthew's Catholic Church, our sister parish. We meet several times a month, have dinner, play games, and share faith together. We also participate in activities like bowling, the Bellevue Berry Farm, escape rooms, and service projects throughout the year. This is a great way to hang out with friends and meet new ones. Meetings typically take place on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm at St. Matt's gym. Click here for more information.
  • St. Mary's Catholic School - Catholic Education for grades Pre-K through 8th. The mission and vision of St. Mary's School are woven throughout the curriculum and the school is committed to providing a Christ-centered education for each child. The Sacramental preparations, school liturgies, prayer services, and emphasis on service all help to build a strong faith foundation!

Parish Groups & Service Opportunities

  • St. Mary’s Ladies Guild - The Ladies Guild provides fellowship and community to women in our parish through monthly meetings and activities, while also dedicating ourselves to the service of the Church. We lead a variety of activities including providing wine, hosts, and candles at Mass, serving funeral lunches and dinners, serving a variety of receptions in the Church, and holding bake sales.
  • Hospitality Team - St. Mary's Hospitality Team is dedicated to making everyone feel welcome at our church, including personally contacting new parishioners and greeting parishioners at all of the church entrances before every Mass.
  • Homebound Ministry - This ministry carries out the work of God by visiting with those parishioners that are homebound and bringing them the gift of the Body of Christ.
  • Vocations Team - Our Religious Vocations Team encourages parishioners to pray for, learn about, support, and promote interest in the priesthood and religious life.
  • Landscaping Committee - Our committee helps with gardening on our parish grounds to keep our church as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside.
  • Pantry Sunday - This committee helps collect food donations for the Bellevue Food Pantry to serve the hungry of our Bellevue community.
  • Pro-Life Ministry - Please join St. Mary's Pro-Life Ministry for an hour of prayer outside of the Bellevue Abortion Center for the unborn and their mothers and fathers.
  • St. Vincent de Paul Society - St. Mary's Bellevue chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society is a ministry that helps the poor and needy families in the 68005 zip code area.
  • Catholic Daughters of the Americas - The Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) began in 1903 and is one of the largest organizations of Catholic Women in the Americas. CDA strives to embrace the principle of faith working through love in the promotion of justice, equality, and the advancement of human rights and human dignity for all.
  • Knights of Columbus - The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of Catholic men whose mission is based on four main principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
  • Stephen Ministry - Stephen Ministry is a parish-based ministry that offers compassionate, one-to-one Christ-centered support, encouragement and hope with people who are facing difficult times.
