Sometimes, we can struggle to really understand Who God is as a person. Jesus understood that, and He used parables, or stories, to help us understand too. The parables tell us something about Who God is and what He is trying to build here on Earth. They tell us how we are invited to grow in a relationship with God, and how, through that relationship, He calls us to live and act. We have been hearing a lot of parables in the readings at Mass these past few weeks, so let’s take a deeper dive together into growing our understanding.

Join us for a parable-themed prayer challenge starting on November 2nd. This prayer challenge can be accessed through the St. Mary’s page on Hallow, an amazing prayer resource app you can download on your phone. If you already have an account, you can join the waitlist to be notified when the challenge begins - we will enter into a new parable each day of this 10-session challenge and be led to new reflections about God. If you don’t have an account yet, download Hallow to your phone and follow the prompts to sign up. You don’t have to buy a subscription - St. Mary’s has already done that! To join for free, simply close the subscription pop-up and follow the rest of the prompts. Then, click the Church icon and search for St. Mary’s using the zip code 68005. If you are having any trouble signing up, please contact the rectory.
