The month of May seems to fly by with many end-of-the school year events.

One such event that occurs identical to local public schools is the visit of high school seniors to their elementary school. Sixteen St. Mary’s alumni, Class of 2018/2019 wearing their graduation gowns, visited St. Mary’s on Tuesday, May 16th. Walking the hallways and stepping back into classrooms brought some tears, laughs, hugs and comments as to how small the classes and halls now appear!

The doors of St. Mary’s School closed mid-morning on May 19th. It was a short day, but much was accomplished with buddies helping each other clean desks and chairs before moving them into the hallways. One last recess was enjoyed and then, with report cards in hand, students rushed out to greeting parents to start summer vacation. Before long, the doors will reopen for the 2023-2024 school year which promises to be even more eventful as we will celebrate St. Mary’s School’s 75th anniversary.
