Father's Welcome

Dear All,
Welcome to St. Mary's Catholic School website!
We would like to share with you some valuable and exciting news about St. Mary's School. St. Mary's is fully accredited by the state of Nebraska. All of our teachers are state-certified and average 20 years of experience! Many of our faculty hold Master Degrees with additional hours in education. They offer a lot of individual attention and TLC!
St. Mary's School is well-rounded in every way. We offer our students classes in Technology, Spanish, Art, and Media, in addition to Physical Education and Music. It is important to note that we have access to Special Education Services such as Resource, Speech, and Language support. Students may also participate in a High Ability Learners program. We are fortunate to have a Certified School Counselor as part of our faculty.
Our focus on a faith-based education is very clear. The mission and vision of St. Mary's School are woven throughout the curriculum and the school is committed to providing a Christ-centered education for each child. The Sacramental preparations, school liturgies, prayer services, and emphasis on service all help to build a strong faith foundation!
The school was dedicated in August of 1948 and the first teachers were Dominican Sisters from Louisville, Kentucky. From the beginning, students have received the highest quality instruction in all aspects of learning. Our current faculty and staff are proud to continue this tradition of excellence in all things.
Our parish strives to make a Catholic education available to all students! Please visit with us if you have financial concerns.
I invite you to come and take a tour, speak to our staff and students, or visit with me personally about how you can get involved with our school and parish community.
Peace and blessings,
Father Lydell Lape
Pastor
Principal's Welcome

Dear Visitors and Prospective St. Mary’s School Parents,
Thank you for your interest in St. Mary's School. We offer a high quality, faith-filled education for children in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 8th. Our ties to the Bellevue and Offutt communities began in 1948 and we are proud to continue that tradition today.
The opportunities for spiritual growth and service coupled with our strong academic programs make St. Mary's School a great choice for your child or children.
These offerings include:
- Collaboration and STEM labs, Chromebooks and iPads available for all students
- A standards-based curriculum
- Differentiated instruction tailored to the needs of students
- Low student to teacher ratio
- Instruction in special areas such as Foreign Language, Music, Technology, Media/Library, Physical Education, and Art
The religious curriculum of St. Mary’s is not limited to Religion class. Every subject and extracurricular activity is tied to our relationship with God and our responsibility to our brothers and sisters in Christ. We educate the whole child and strive, as our mission states, “to provide a Catholic education that nurtures students' hearts and minds to become servant leaders in an ever-changing world." We also welcome students of all faiths.
Parents and grandparents are encouraged to be involved in our educational team. The Volunteer Service Hour program enables families to be a part of school and parish activities as well as assist in classroom projects or field experiences. All family members are valued at St. Mary's School!
Our financial assistance program is available to families who would like a St. Mary's education for their children, but may not have the means. I would like to have the opportunity to personally visit with you about the educational opportunities here at St. Mary's School. If you have questions or would like to schedule a tour, please contact us at 402-291-1694.
In Christ,
Dr. Trish Wallinger
