St. Mary’s offers an Extended Day Program for our students in the evenings from 3:20-5:30pm. This program is designed for families that need continuous after childcare and is available to all St. Mary's students. However, a family must have a completed registration form on file before their student can attend Extended Day.

St. Mary’s Extended Day Program is licensed by the State of Nebraska and all personnel are CPR trained. Students must be immunized as required by the state. Parents must submit a signed immunization form, which can be found below, to Extended Day and the school office.

In Extended Day, we strive to have a welcoming and relaxed environment for students to be in before and after school. We have a daily schedule of activities to keep things fun. Our afternoons start with a healthy snack, then the students will have some physical play time. Weather dependent, we are either in the gym or out on the playground. After that, we have play areas inside our Extended Day room including pretend play, building blocks, books to read, art supplies, and a sand table. Most days of the week, upper grade students can also go to the Homework Room to have a quiet and supportive environment for studying, and then come down to Extended Day to join in the fun when they're finished. We also have dedicated craft time, outdoor activity days, and the occasional movie & popcorn day.

On normal school days, parents can come and pick their kids up at any time from 3:20-5:30pm. When school is in session for a scheduled half day, Extended Day will not be open in the afternoons. When school is not in session, the Extended Day program is not open. When school is closed early due to weather or other emergencies, your child must be picked up as soon as possible. On snow days, there is no Extended Day.
