Children's Liturgy of the Word is an opportunity for children ages 4 through the 4th grade to gather for a time to speak about the Gospel in a way that helps them better understand Jesus's message.

Details

The children begin the Mass experience with their families as part of the whole congregation and are then invited to gather, with the adult catechists and supervisors, to form their own little congregation in the Parish Center. We are blessed to have musicians that help create an atmosphere of praise and worship along with the catechists. As the process unfolds, the children have a chance to respond in a way that models the words and actions of the Mass going on upstairs. In the discussion led by the catechists, the children learn from one another just how much Jesus's message of love and mercy are at work in our daily lives. Once the Homily, Creed, and Prayers of the Faithful have been completed upstairs, the children reconnect with their families as they bring their gifts to be offered. 

Children do not need to be registered in any way for this program, and we love when parents, grandparents, and visiting children join us.
